Dr. Hirbawi is currently the Head of Neuroradiology-CT Department at the Hadassah University Hospital, Ein Kerem, Jerusalem.  He has been a senior attending Radiologist at Hadassah since 2008. He was previously the Director of Neurological and Musculoskeletal Imaging at the Newport Diagnostic Center in Newport Beach, California from 1999 to 2008.

Dr. Hirbawi completed a B.S. in biological sciences with the highest honors (Magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa), at the University of California, Irvine (UCI). He completed his medical studies at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1993, with the highest honors (Cum laude, Alpha Omega Alpha, and recognition for the outstanding thesis in the medical sciences). He continued his training with a residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of California and then a fellowship in Magnetic Resonance Imaging.

Dr. Hirbawi’s subspecialty and research focus is on imaging of the brain and spinal cord. He has multiple publications in the most prestigious Radiology Medical Journals and is an author of a chapter in the textbook, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, 3rdedition.  Stark DD, Bradley W.B (editors).
